(Lutherville, MD – July 6, 2020) - Welcome to the Maryland Golf Hall of Fame. In 2019, during my time as President of the Maryland State Golf Association, I approached our Executive Director, Bill Smith, about creating a golf hall of fame for Maryland. With Bill’s enthusiasm and support, we look forward to inducting our inaugural class in the Spring of 2021, in conjunction with the MSGA’s centennial.
The Maryland Golf Hall of Fame was established to recognize and honor men and women who, as Maryland natives, or residents at their time of achievement, have impacted Maryland golf or have made extraordinary contributions to the game through competitive and non-competitive accomplishments, such as amateur and professional players, clubs professionals, architects, journalists, superintendents, mentors and volunteers.
The Maryland Golf Hall of Fame needs your help. While we have identified a number of individuals worthy of consideration, we welcome and encourage your nominations.
We also ask for your financial support, and as a 501(c)(3) organization a donation is tax deductible.
Thank you for your support and I hope to see you at our induction Ceremony in the Spring of 2021.
Best regards,
Brian J. Fitzgerald,
Chairman
