"Welcome to the Induction Ceremony for the second Class of the Maryland Golf Hall of Fame. Established in 2019, the Maryland Golf Hall of Fame was created to recognize and enshrine men and women who, as Maryland natives or residents at their time of achievement, have impacted Maryland golf and/or have made extraordinary contributions to the game through competitive and non-competitive accomplishments.

Tonight, we honor ten legendary contributors to the game of golf in Maryland. They are professionals, amateurs, men, women, administrators, philanthropists, and journalists: Mary Ann Downey Cooke, Perky Cullinane, Max Elbin, Jack Emich, Frank Emmet, Albert Houghton, Dave King, Bobby Morris, Spencer Overton, and John Stewart. We are proud to recognize their achievements and to induct them into the Maryland Golf Hall of Fame.

Our host this evening, Chevy Chase Club, has a long history of golf in Maryland, and we are grateful to their members and staff for their hospitality tonight.

Our celebration has been made possible by donations from individuals and businesses who have generously contributed to support the Maryland Golf Hall of Fame. We thank all our donors and the Maryland State Golf Association for the incredible support from its excellent staff.

Please enjoy this evening as we honor and celebrate the achievements of ten outstanding contributors to the game of golf in Maryland."
